Description:
CD45R, also known as B220, a member of the protein tyrosine phosphate family and a major cell surface glycoprotein, represents a restricted form of the CD45 family which primarily recognizes only cells of B-lineage from pro-B cell through mature B lymphocytes and prior to the availability of anti-CD19 monoclonal antibodies was commonly used as a pan B-cell marker. It also reacts with certain activated T cells as well as non-MHC-restricted lytically active lymphokine-activated killer (LAK) cells. In vivo administration of RA3-6B2 has been shown to affect differentiation of both T and B cells in normal mice and reduce the level of anti-DNA antibodies and lymphadenopathies in MRL/lpr mice.
Description:
Low Endotoxin/Azide Free Mouse IgM for use as a control in flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, and in vitro assays and as a standard in ELISA.
Description:
CD103 is a member of the integrin series of adhesion molecules. This antigen defines a developmentally important subset of T cells, namely mucosal T cells including all IEL (intraepithelial lymphocytes) and ~20% of lamina propria T cells. Expression of CD103 is more restricted outside these mucosal organs appearing at lower levels on T cell subsets of the lymph node, dendritic epidermis, and periphery. In non-epithelial CD103+ T cells there is a bias toward expression on CD8+ cells. The 2E7 monoclonal antibody exhibits antigen immunoprecipitation patterns similar if not identical to the rat anti-mouse CD103 monoclonal antibody M290. 2E7 is reported to have signal-inducing activity in a redirected lysis assay and to costimulate IEL and CD8+ lymph node cells in conjunction with anti-TCR in vitro which runs counter to the usual inhibition of CTL by anti-integrins. This costimulatory activity is also shared by the monoclonal antibody M290. The property of costimulation is not unique to the mouse since the combination of anti-human αIEL plus anti-TCR will produce similar proliferation in human cells with the exception that CD8+ cells are not stimulated.
Description:
In the chicken, the CD8 molecule is present in two forms - (i) a homodimer of two α chains and (ii) a heterodimer of an α chain and a β chain. While the vast majority of CD8+ cells in the thymus, spleen, and blood of adult chickens express both CD8α- and CD8β-chains, a relatively large proportion of the CD8+ TCRγδ cells in the spleens of embryos and young chicks express only the α-chain of CD8. Among intestinal epithelial lymphocytes, the major CD8+ T cell populations present in mice are conserved but there is a population of TCRγδ CD8αβ cells in the chicken that is not found in rodents. Chicken CD8 is expressed on approximately 80% of thymocytes, 15% of blood mononuclear cells, and 50% of spleen cells but less than 1% of cells in the bursa and bone marrow. The monoclonal antibody CT-8 recognizes the CD8α chain and has been shown to react to a polymorphic determinant in turkey.
Description:

Description:
The IL-2 receptor (IL-2R) exists in three alternative forms made up from the individual components of CD25, CD122, and CD132. CD25 represents the low affinity α chain of the IL-2R, a type I transmembrane glycoprotein containing two CCP domains. It is rich in O-linked carbohydrates and has a short cytoplasmic tail. CD25 is expressed on activated T cells, B cells, NK cells, and monocytes of all mouse strains tested. Expression of CD25 on activated T lymphocytes is transitory and endogenously regulated. CD25 is expressed on precursor B cells in bone marrow. Its expression is initiated by functional rearrangement and expression of IgM heavy chain genes and is down-regulated when immature B cells mature and express IgD. It is expressed at a higher level on CD4+CD8+ thymocytes. It is also expressed on cultured epidermal Langerhans cells. The biochemical features of murine CD25 have been characterized in detail. The 3C7 monoclonal antibody reacts with an epitope of CD25 which is distinct from that recognized by clone 7D4. 3C7, used in combination with 7D4 in culture, results in higher levels of inhibition of proliferation driven by IL-2 and generation of alloreactive CTL than either of these monoclonal antibodies alone.
Description:
CD74 represents a type II integral membrane protein known as MHC class II-associated invariant chain. It is moderately expressed on B cells and weakly on monocytes and macrophages. CD74 is also found on a subset of activated T cells, Langerhans cells, dendritic cells, and some epithelial cells. CD74 may play a role in antigen processing and presentation through intracellular transport and expression of class II molecules on the cell surface.
Description:
The monoclonal antibody TCR-2 precipitates a CD3-associated heterodimer of Mr 90 kDa (two bands of Mr 50 kDa and 40 kDa upon reduction) on chicken peripheral blood T cells. Deglycosylation of the heterodimer yields two polypeptides of Mr 34 kDa and 29 kDa. In the chicken, two distinct subpopulations of αβ T cells appear in the thymus subsequent to the appearance of γδ T cells. These subpopulations, originally denoted as TCR2 and TCR3, arise sequentially in the thymus during ontogeny and are now known to represent two distinct Vβ families, Vβ1 and Vβ2, respectively. The TCR-2 monoclonal antibody reacts with approximately 40% of thymocytes, 40-50% of blood mononuclear cells, and 40% of splenocytes in the chicken. Two-color immunofluorescence has revealed that most of the TCR2+ thymocytes express both CD4 and CD8 antigens. The TCR2+ cells in blood were found to express either CD4 (74 ± 2%) or CD8 (26 ± 4%). TCR2+ cells in the spleen also express either CD4 (37 ± 1%) or CD8 (64 ± 4%). Surprisingly, a relatively large subpopulation of CD8+ cells in the spleen are negative for TCR2. This observation led to the demonstration that 71 ± 6% of the TCRγδ+ cells in the spleen express CD8.
Description:
CD3ε, a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily of cell surface receptors, is comprised of five invariable chain ranging in size from 16-28 kDa and is closely associated with the T cell antigen receptor (TCR). It is expressed on all T cells of all mouse strains. CD3 plays a major role in signaling during antigen recognition, leading to T-cell activation. The monoclonal antibody C363.29B recognizes an epitope on the 25 kDa ε chain of the CD3/TCR complex. In the presence of Fc receptor-bearing accessory cells, soluble C363.29B can activate primed and naïve T cell in vitro. Immobilized C363.2B9 monoclonal antibody can also activate both normal T lymphocytes and cloned T cell lines provided the appropriate accessory signals are present. The monoclonal antibody is cytolytic, easily used for cell surface staining, and a good immunoprecipitating antibody.

Description:
Biotin Anti-Human IgG2 Fd antibody for use in ELISA, flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, western blotting, and immunoprecipitation assays.
Description:
CD19 is a monomeric transmembrane glycoprotein expressed at relatively constant levels throughout B cell development from early pro-B/pre-B cells (i.e. B220+/CD43+/HSA+) through fully differentiated B cell stages. Terminally differentiated plasma cells do not express CD19. In humans, the CD19 molecule on the surface of mature B cells associates with CD21 (CR-2) and CD81 (TAPA-1), and this multimolecular complex synergizes with surface immunoglobulin to provide signal transduction and promote cellular activation. All splenic and peritoneal IgM+ cells of both B-1 and B-2 lineages are CD19+, with B-1 cells expressing higher levels of CD19 than B-2 cells in these sites. Studies with CD19-deficient mice have suggested that this molecule may not be required for normal generation and maturation of B cells in the bone marrow. The monoclonal antibody 6D5 recognizes the same epitope as the published clone, 1D3.
